BookDirectly ("we," "us," or "our") operates the BookDirectly website and software platform that helps vacation rental hosts create branded booking sites and manage direct bookings. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit our marketing site, create a host account, use our dashboard, or interact with us as a prospective customer.

1. Information we collect

**Information you provide** - Account and profile details (such as name, email address, password, and role). - Host and property information you enter in the dashboard (property names, addresses, descriptions, photos, pricing, policies, and related content). - Booking and guest information submitted through host property sites (such as guest name, email, phone, stay dates, party size, messages, and agreement signatures). - Communications you send us (for example, lead intake forms, support requests, or email replies). - Billing-related identifiers associated with your subscription (managed through Stripe; we do not store full payment card numbers).

**Information collected automatically** - Device and usage data (such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from IP). - Cookies and similar technologies used for authentication, security, and basic analytics where enabled.

**Information from third parties** - Payment and payout status from Stripe (including subscription status and, for hosts who connect Stripe, Connect account status). - Optional integrations you enable (for example, calendar or pricing services).

2. How we use information

We use information to: - Provide, operate, and improve the BookDirectly platform and host tools. - Process host subscriptions and facilitate guest payments through Stripe according to each host's configuration. - Send transactional emails and notifications (for example, booking updates, account messages, and reminders) via our email provider. - Authenticate users, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms. - Respond to inquiries and provide customer support. - Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

3. How we disclose information

We may disclose information: - **Service providers** who help us run the platform under contractual obligations to protect data, including: - **Stripe** for subscription billing and guest payment processing. - **Resend** (or similar email providers) for transactional email delivery. - **Hosting and database providers** that store application data. - **Hosts and guests** as needed to complete bookings (for example, guest contact details are visible to the host for a submitted booking). - **Legal and safety** when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security. - **Business transfers** in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to appropriate protections.

We do not sell personal information for money. Host property sites may include their own privacy practices for guest-facing pages; those are controlled by the host.

4. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls for production systems, and restricted access to personal data by personnel who need it for their job. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of certain account data subject to applicable law and legitimate business needs (for example, booking records hosts must retain).

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information. To make a request, contact us at support@mybookdirectly.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

You can update some account information in the dashboard. Marketing emails, if any, will include an unsubscribe option where required by law.

7. Children's privacy

BookDirectly is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. International users

If you access the service from outside the United States, you understand that information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate.
